It may be small enough to sit comfortably on a fingertip, but this Southern Corroboree Frog is preparing to play a big role in helping to save its critically endangered species. It’s one of 200 newly metamorphosed frogs at Taronga that will soon be released into disease-free wild enclosures in Kosciuszko National Park. It’s believed less than 50 mature frogs remain in the wild due to the deadly chytrid fungus.
