#Latepost: Earlier today, I had to pay respect to a friend of mine from the Music Industry. Rest In Peace to Mar Brown, who passed away this past December. He was the Senior VP of Urban Promotions at Atlantic Records. I knew him since the late 90's when i used to spin on the radio on 92.3 The Beat. He was on the Street/Radio Promotion team at Virgin Records at that time & was always cool with me. He & @bsamsonwestcoast gave me my 1st Gold Plaque ever for the Gang Starr's album #MomentOfTruth. This was special to me because #GangStarr is one of my favorite Hip Hop groups of all time & it's the 1st plaque I ever received while working for a radio station. It Was a beautiful service & it was good to see a lot of old friends from the Music Industry, even though we had to meet under unfortunate circumstances. It was a beautiful way to say good bye. Mar was a good man & had many people that cared & respected him. Thank you Mar...may God continue to watch over your kids & God bless your family. #RIP #MarBrown #LANative
