And #1 coming in from probably my favorite place in the world, Driehoek, South Africa. Not only is this my favorite first ascent of the year but definitely one of my favorites of all time. Sitting on top of the valley with a view of nothing but wilderness for miles, "the tanooki myth," 8A (V11) is the true king of the area. Just seeing this picture again is getting me so excited to return to this place and continue the hunt for new lines! 2016 was an amazing year and I cannot wait for what 2017 has to bring! #bouldering
