Sad news for the the LA aerial community. I just learned about an accident over the port of Los Angeles where we lost the pilot and a well-known local photographer in a helicopter crash last week. While I hadn't flown with the helicopter company who owned the R22, I had just been on that same route the week previous and shot this image of the same Port where they went down. :( .
My heart goes out to Christopher Reed's and Michael Justice's (@michaeljusticephoto) families for their loss. A sad reminder of how fragile life can be and the risks involved everytime we go up on assigment. Rest In Peace guys ??
