In my opinion—a vastly underrated sculptor /artist—Raymond Duchamp-Villon & here his model for "La Maison Cubiste," 1912 . The piece was actually mocked up in plaster for the 1912 "Salon D'Automne" in Paris where he placed cubist & modern works inside of the blown up maquette. The smaller model was also shown at the epic 1913 Armory show in NYC & had a wide impact on Le Corbusier, among others ... I love the Utopian fusing of environment—architecture—decoration—sculpture & artistic philosophy ... it's both museum—home & HQ—& considering how marginalized culturally & broke they were—the piece has a glorious, grand hopefulness ... __________
