"This was the view from our front porch every evening. Huge limestone walls swallowing our tiny cabin. The only cabin in the valley. My girlfriend and I had both recently turned 30. To celebrate, we travelled with a big group of friends to the famed climbing destination El Potrero Chico. By day we would ascent the walls, at one point climbing the longest sport climbing route in North America (Time Wave Zero). By night we would drink mescal, play music, games and laugh. It was one of the best weeks of my life! The magic in this shot in part lives in the wispy clouds streaking over the peak, which were barely visible to the naked eye, and in part in the sharp moonlight rising above the peak behind us."
