When cleaning out desk drawers today I came upon this personalized pencil from my childhood... I have no idea how it ended up in my current adult desk, only that immediately I flashed back to third grade and my pride in such a small thing... a pencil of my own. Very Virginia Woolf:) But in the spirit of Marie Kondo... it did in fact "spark joy" in both nostalgia and sentiment. There is still a good amount of both lead and eraser to utilize, so I'm not going to throw it out as clutter. I'm gonna sit down and write a new poem with an old pencil and see what comes...
