This sad photo was posted on facebook. ?? the reason I'm sharing these kind of photos is to show you what is going on behind the scenes in hundreds of veterinary practices in America.
Cats are being tortured, having their toe bones barbarically amputated, and mutilated in 80% of vet practices. Mostly for the welfare of a sofa. ?
Does your vet declaw cats? If so, please ask them to STOP & if they won't find an ethical no declaw doctor. (List of them is on citythekitty.com)
Around 2 million cats a year are declawed in America and many of them suffer these kind of horrific consequences and are euthanized. It's the dirty, ugly, evil secret that the veterinary profession doesn't want you to know about. All declawed cats suffer in some form from this inhumane procedure. Declawed cats are never "happy and healthy." Cats are notorious for hiding their pain and suffering. ??
There is a bill in NJ that will ban declawing if passed. The NJ Assembly is voting on it on Monday the 23rd. If you live in NJ, PLEASE call and email your legislators and ask them to support this important bill. Please follow the @pawproject for details on how to reach out to your legislators.
