Public Enemy came to my hood, Bed Stuy Brooklyn in fall of '89 to shoot the Fight The Power video. I was 11 yrs old & that's the first time I seen rappers from TV in the hood... I saw how excited people were that a music video was actually happening in our hood. Public Enemy lead a parade down Malcolm X Blvd & the whole hood followed & supported from kids to adults. I even think @mrrugs_ & his family got in the video. ? Chuck D was the voice of the group, but @flavorflav4real was the heart, and the hood loved him! I remember all the kids & people wanted to show Flav love or touch the clock on his neck or scream Yeahhh Boyyy that day!!! That's why it was dope to run into Flav and still see how genuine he is, still have that 1 of a kind energy & still showing love. ?
