Going to sea can be a very scary time for an emperor penguin. Quite often there is a leopard seal hiding beneath the ice waiting to ambush one of the 60 pound plus birds. The penguins want to go to sea to catch krill and fish to bring home to their young chicks. While on our Emperor Penguin assignment for @ナショナルジオグラフィック my good buddy, @goranehlme managed to capture these moments in motion…something I have always dreamed of doing. I return to Antarctica this week to shoot video, stills, VR and social media.
