The last time I braved the cold for hours to see a film was in 1978 to see #TheWiz. #IAmNotYourNegro is so necessary right now. This is beyond me behooving you, or endorsing or shaming you or forcing you. This will be a short post because there aren't enough hyperbolic fiery descriptions I can give in telling you (yes you black, white, asian, brown, jew, gentile, christian, gay, politician, hippy, ignint, male, female---wait I'm doing what I said I wasn't gonna do lol--you owe it to you and you owe it to me to see and absorb and understand this film. Yes for most non black people this will be like a diet on Black Friday in which you know you should be eating right and watching your health but "maybe next week" or you can't "deal with more guilt" or whatever metaphor of pressing the snooze button is. Believe you me, a free Saturday not watching 8 eps of #SoulTrain before I get out of bed for this? Yes. It's THAT important. Theaters you must open your art house doors and show this film. Schools, just as you raised money for Hamilton trips? This film deserves it too. Fathers take daughters. Mothers take sons. See this powerful documentary please. #jamesbaldwindrawing .
