#tbt Sept 12th, 2002. #CabinFever premiere at Toronto Film Festival Midnight Madness. I can honestly say this was the biggest night of my life, and it was all possible because of a great man named @colingeddes. Colin programmed Midnight Madness for 20 years and today announced he's leaving the festival. The festival initially rejected my film but Colin saw it and saved it by putting it in his Midnight Madness section. Together we made history with that sold out wild screening, it was the final showing for the festival ever at the Uptown 1 cinema, playing DEAD last out of every film that year, and scoring the biggest sale of the festival. After 2002 the distributors began looking to Colin for the next wave of films, and his Midnight Madness section helped bring the works of James Wan, Alex Aja, Takashi Miike, and countless others from the festival circuit to the mainstream. He is a true lover of cinema and I'm proud to call him a friend. Congrats Colin, cannot wait to see how you shake things up at Shudder.
