FT: Villa 0-1 Ipswich - Villa’s unbeaten home record ground to a halt in a bitterly disappointing setback at the hands of Ipswich Town. After dominating the first half, Steve Bruce’s men lost their momentum after the interval and fell to an 83rd-minute goal from Emyr Huws. Henri Lansbury and Conor Hourihane both went close during the opening exchanges, while Birkir Bjarnason’s fierce rising shot rattled the bar after Lansbury had rolled a free-kick invitingly across the penalty area. Ipswich keeper Bartosz Bialkowksi also frustrated the home side when he got down to hold Jonathan Kodjia’s low shot on the turn just before the interval.
