Bahla Fort, an #unescoworldheritagesite, was built in the 13th and 14th century in the highlands of Oman.

Residents seem to carefully nod their heads "yes" while saying "no, no, there's no black magic here." The fort is believed to have once been a school for practitioners of dark arts and a current hangout for the devilish jinn spirits.

Surveying the 800-year-old mud brick walls, I didn't pick up on any mystical phenomena. For me, the fortress itself was magical and one of my favorite stops in Oman. ?@travelbabbo .
