Right around the phrase "please get off of me, I've had too much dinner" I told Smokey Husky that I don't need anything for Valentine's Day. I truly don't and can't remember gifts given in previous years- I'm sure in my 20s I cooked a boyfriend dinner of like baked chicken and a cake and was like "see the value I bring?!" Anyway, I said it my article for Thrillist but you should be in a relationship where he/she makes you feel so loved and wanted that you don't need this handjob of a holiday. For the record? I've also been single on Valentine's Day and I don't remember how I felt because, again, I don't care. There has to be something better to feel bad about than being "alone" on a holiday designated for restaurants to make more money and for Pandora to sell their Red Hot Love beads. All that said, I woke up and there was a hotel lobby's worth of flowers Bc SH went to the downtown flower market. I immediately disassembled them into what I thought would be the kind of flower post I'd wanna scroll past on Instagram, only their post would be like "THIS FLORIST IS KILLING THE GAME! ???"
