SENIOR SUNDAY! Here's an adoption update from @susiesseniordogs: "Bobby has been adopted!! 8 year old Bobby, who was living at the shelter for 18 months, has finally found a home of his own. He was featured on @DogsOf Instagram in January when he was still homeless and searching for a human to love him. Two weeks ago Bobby was adopted by Shari, who is a first time adopter. They have instantly connected with each other and we couldn't be happier for them both!
Shari writes, "Bobby has been a wonderful addition to my life. He has been very good and I think he is very happy. Bobby is my first dog adoption. I had one dog before who was raised from a puppy and lived until he was 15 years old. It has taken time for me to decide to have another dog. But I wanted to adopt an older dog because they are more settled. My cousin in Colorado sent me Bobby’s picture and story and that was it, I fell in love. My heart was sad that Bobby had been in the shelter for so long. So I put in my request and went to meet him.
At first Bobby wasn’t interested in me but I didn’t care, and he was in my house the following weekend. He snooped around his first day, and the next day he was all settled in. We walk twice a day on my work days and go for long walks on the days I have off. He likes to cuddle and lies right next to me, usually with his head on my leg. This morning I woke up to his head on my pillow. He gets so excited when I get home from work that he races up and down the hallway and then runs in circles with one of his toys. It is lovely to come home and have such excitement because you are home. He is going to be a very big blessing in my life. He is truly loved." #dogsofinstagram
