FT: Aston Villa 2-0 Bristol City - Two goals in six second-half minutes gave Villa their second win in four days as Jonathan Kodjia claimed his 12th goal of the season and Conor Hourihane hit his first in claret and blue. All Villa had to show from a disjointed first half performance was a penalty miss by Kodjia, who drove his spot kick against the bar after Gary Gardner was brought down by keeper Fabian Giefer. But Steve Bruce’s men turned on the style after the break and effectively had the points sewn up by the hour mark. Kodjia opened the scoring with a deft glancing header into the far corner following Albert Adomah’s cross from the right in the 54th minute. And when the striker dispossessed Joe Bryan five minutes later, Hourihane slammed home from close range after Adomah had miskicked.
