A. I know what you mean and trust me, it happens all the time but you have to put yourself in their shoes. Try not to get frustrated and remember they only know what they see (and that typically is only what they find online or in magazines) not your amazing creativity that's in your imagination. So try to use that as only a starting point and share your ideas. That way you can take them to incredible places they never even knew existed! I truly believe it's up to us as the creative professionals to share what "could be" with our clients. I mean, isn't that why they're coming to us in the first place? I call this the "art of the possible" at Ceci. As designers with integrity, it's unethical (not to mention bad business practice) to copy other designer's work. So please do everything in your power NOT to go there. So instead of looking at the images the client brought to you as "that's it" think of it as "this is just a starting point". Share your design ideas that excite you and chances are they may just excite your clients too. Give it go next time and see what happens. Hope that helps! Now it's your turn.
