March 1st is World Compliment Day!
I don't get serious too often here, but choosing kindness--especially with our family--is something I am passionate about. "There are 9 behaviors that characterize strong, healthy families. THREE of those nine are positive communication, encouragement, and appreciation." One thing I tell my kids is that you can't wait for other people to do nice things or treat you well. YOUR actions are the only thing you can control. Choose today to speak kindly, give encouragement, and tell those around you how much you appreciate them.
Tell someone you love something wonderful about them. Tag them in the comments. Or write them a letter. Or call them. Or put down the phone altogether and go give them a hug and a sincere compliment.
