Today at #TeenVogue, you won’t see our typical daily coverage. This is because the staff is almost entirely composed of women, and we have decided to participate in #DayWithoutAWoman to emphasize the impact women have on the economy, workforce, and all of society, through paid and unpaid, seen and unseen labor. Our goal every day at Teen Vogue is to empower, uplift and provide knowledge to young women and this strike is an important part of that. We have chosen to step back from publishing news today and instead amplify the voices involved in this movement--even the journalism industry still disproportionately awards leadership and power to men.
