Gagosian mourns the death of Howard Hodgkin. He passed away peacefully and our thoughts are with his family and friends.
Howard was internationally celebrated as one of the greatest artists of our time. His rigor and talent as well as his kindness will be sorely missed. “Howard Hodgkin was a towering figure of British art and one of the most vital, radical and compelling painters of our time. It was a rare privilege to have known him as a friend.
