The girl that starts the run is never the same girl that finishes. It doesn't matter if it's the 1 mile I conquered after coming up with every excuse not to lace up my shoes, or the 230 miles that lies before me in Haiti. From sand to pavement, to trails and gravel... through the endless country roads or weaving through crowded streets - every step I take I move the earth beneath my feet. As the blood pumps throughout my body, my strides become longer and lighter. My mind becomes clean and my spirit becomes free. I honestly don't know what to expect on the 230 mile run along the Haiti western border this April. But I do know I must trust my heart and have confidence in my gear.
A sincere thank you to @Reebok running team for sending me their best running shoe yet #FloatRide (has yet hit to the market). I am 1 of 10 people in the world that will be getting to experience these shoes first and I'm honored. With every step I take regardless of my pace in Haiti I will take it with passion and pride.
