Truly thankful that my injury is not more sever following a terrible head to head collision in a match against Russia. I'm now on the road to recovery AGAIN, but I will come back soon and in a better place. This will make me stronger!

Broken face and all there are still so much to smile about.
I would like to give a huge thank you to the medical staff at the Algarve Cup and hospital who were so gentle and loving in their treatment of me and my injury.
It's amazing how many wonderful people are in my life, many of who I take for granted. So, thank you to all the staff of the #CanWNT, medical team specifically, for taking care of me when I was angry and upset and hurting. Your work does not go unnoticed and I am forever grateful. My body says "thanks" as well!

Then there are my teammates and friends. Your character and love in my time of brokenness helped me get through those first couple days with a smile on my face even though it hurt to smile. I'm lucky to go through life with you! You inspire me!
Can't wait to get back on the field when I'm ready for both club and country. Until then ??? rest!
