All set up today @diffanational at Pier 92! Debuting our partnership with @sunbrella including brand new designs on high-performance embroidered fabrics here is an absolute dream and pleasure! We are so thrilled to be a part of @diffanational (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS) Dining by Design event and fundraiser showcasing an arrangement of dining spaces crafted by prominent designers.
Here our Signature stitches and winsome narratives come to life in a large-scale diorama depicting the American Great Plains through the eyes of the animals that live there. We welcome you into the campsite of a family of bears who travel together to Yellowstone National Park each year to watch the largest population of wild plains bison. The table is set with hand painted ceramics in collaboration with Nic Newcomb @newcombpottery and dressed with embroidered runners illustrated with grasses, wildflowers and animals native to the fields.
Outside the embellished shelter, tactile, life-sized bison roam the expansive range. We’ve reimagined the western landscape with a custom Sunbrella ombre fabric that blends sunrise with twilight. The American Bison, which once faced extinction, is now recognized as our national mammal and represents our communal heritage. The ancient species serves as a reminder to respect our public lands and to support preservation. Our all-encompassing, hand-drawn environment celebrates the natural world and invites the outsider in.
