Unseen for decades and appearing at auction for the first time, this spectacular selection of #Ottoman #textiles goes on view in #London next month as part of our Arts of the Islamic World #exhibition. From the collection of Argine Benaki Salvago, grande dame of Alexandrian society in the 1930s, these are characterised by iconic #designs with examples decorated with #intimani patterns and others entwined with #tulips, roses and #carnations.
