DOOM PATROL DIRECTOR’S CUT: ISSUE 1.
Now at your local comic shop and digitally.

You need to check this out. Firstly, it’s an honor to be included in the Director’s Cut program at DC Comics. A lot of years built up to the release of the first issue so it’s nice to be able to give you all a peek inside.
Lots of great stuff in here, and you really get a sense of how the comic is made and takes shape before it goes to color (which is amazingly handled by Tamra Bonvillain). Todd Klein’s awesome lettering is in this version, and you really get a wonderful and close look at @NickDerington’s art, which is a major treat alongside allowing you to examine Shelly Bond’s notes on an early draft of the first script. The notes are brilliant, and any writer could learn something from reading them. And you can see that script really come alive through Nick’s art. Readers of the comic will notice the script changed considerably, though some of the structure is in place in this version. Also, we’ve done our best to black-out any spoilers FBI style throughout the script.
Thank you to all the readers for your support. I feel like we are just getting started. Arc 2 is on the way!
