This is the cover I drew for the first solo record I ever made in my buddy Chips basement back in 2006. It's so emo...and super bizarre. I finished it right before getting a one-way ticket to London for drama school and leaving my Ohio life behind. But first I pressed 100 copies, threw a massive going away party at my old house in the Oregon District in Dayton, Ohio, and gave them to everyone who came as a farewell gift. I wonder who still has one? Sending big nostalgic love to that old crew in Ohio. I think of you often. We may have all shifted and changed, but I hope you're all still staying true to the spirit of those years. It really was a most special moment in time...
