House of the Day: House #Cave by #UMMOEstudio

The cave formations at the #foothills of #SierraMorena in #Crdoba, #Spain, were traditionally used for #farming and livestock. More recently they have been re-appropriated, to form #rural housing and accommodate #countryside activities.

This house – literally built into the calcarenite #stone – is one such example, and physically brings together the original #landscape, with its new residential purpose.
