Hua Bee Restaurant– Tiong Bahru's longstanding coffee shop
“Hua Bee Restaurant is one of the last few kopitiams (coffee shop) in Singapore. It’s where we head for our favourite fish ball noodles and morning kopi-o (black coffee). The coffee is made and served as it has been since the days of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers. This is a place where time slows down and where one is reminded that it’s okay to take things slow, especially in Singapore.”
「『ファ・ビー・レストラン』は、シンガポールに残っている数少ない昔ながらのコピティアム（コーヒーショップ）。ここのフィッシュボール・ヌードルと、コピオー（甘いコーヒー）はお気に入り。ここで作られるコーヒーは、僕等のおじいちゃんや、ひいおじいちゃんの世代から受け継がれているんだ。シンガポールで、とてもゆったりとした雰囲気があって、ここまで落ち着ける場所は珍しいんじゃないかな。」
