An early look at the front cover of the catalogue for our inaugural Modern and Contemporary African Art sale courtesy of our head of department @hannah_o_really. Ghanaian artist El Anatsui uses bottle-neck wrappers and copper wire to create works reminiscent of the traditional kente cloth from Ghana. The red, yellow and black are colours commonly used in the woven fabric and symbolic of Ghana's flag.
