Today is the day I was #adopted. I was born on Feb 19th & was in #FosterCare until today when I began my life with my new family. I feel so lucky every day- to be alive, to be living this particular life I love so dear, to know that family is both born & chosen. To everyone out there who is adopted or who has adopted (or plans to): I celebrate you today! But I also celebrate all of us who open our hearts to love & include each other in our lives. Whether you have or adopt a child, take in an animal, care for a sick friend or parent, or raise your voice for those who are marginalized or forgotten: love is love. And I truly feel like it's what we are here to do. So hug somebody for me today! Spread the love! I am full to the brim with gratitude & hugging you all with my heart.
