Here's to enjoying the rewards of hard labor and unplugging for the rest of the evening. This morning and afternoon was our family potsticker day (aka mandu day), a tradition that has been sustained throughout the generations. Our secret recipe is taught in the kitchen from early on and in ways that no notecard could ever capture. Today we made about 500 to enjoy together, to share with others and to freeze for easy meals on busy days. It's a time of storytelling and laughter and where the roots of my ancestors are near. To think that they too once sat around together making these potstickers for special occasions reminds me of what is sacred and most valuable: spending time and making memories with those you love. So here's to a beautiful rest of the weekend. I'm going to enjoy these delectable little labors of love, make some tea and sit by the garden to journal thoughts, daydreams and insatiable possibilities. Cheers, everyone! •
