We played a benefit show over two years ago at The Troubadour for my cousin John Toomey. It was one of the best and most intimate shows we have ever played. We are so sad to learn John passed away earlier this week and will never forget him. He braved the flight from the east coast, rocked out with his family on the balcony and each song helped him feel a little bit better- releasing him from the constant suffering he'd been in even if just for a night. He was also so moved by the incredible energy and voices of our fans who came out to support him that night. We were so lucky to have known him and saying we will miss him is an understatement. He was not with us long enough. Our hearts go out to his wife Dawn, his two kids Lily and Dawit, and the rest of our family.
