When i met the group of warriors who now make up the formidable ranger team @boranaconservancy northern Kenya they had just started out; uniforms were brand new, few if any had weapons, most carried sticks that resembled the weapons they hoped to be issued with if training was completed successfully. All completed the training then, and have gone on to serve on that thin line that protects Africa’s wildlife from those who would wish it harm. Over the next few weeks and months I’ll be returning to northern Kenya to complete the next chapter of my work, documenting their lives and work as warriors, and also the lives of the wildlife they have chosen to risk their lives to protect..I salute you and the amazing work that you do.
