Sara and I in the middle of all the Ubuntu Education youth. Today we had the best day ever at the @ubuntufund center in the Zwide township of Port Elizabeth South Africa. During Apartheid the community was cut up into three areas, one area for whites, one for colored and one for Zwide for blacks. Since free elections took place in 1994 blacks are no longer forced by law and police to stay in their own area, but conditions for many people in Zwide are still very rough. There is 47% unemployment for young people and health care and education are limited. Ubuntu works with children literally from cradle to career to guide and provide education services after school, health care, meals, computer training. Early childhood development, job skills training and lots of music and arts to children from the most vulnerable families.
