In the heart of Chicago, Sunday best is its own religion. This Sunday, photographer @adamjasoncohen went to Easter service in Garfield Park, North Lawndale, and Austin. It was a seasonally hot one on the West Side, but congregates still came decked out to the nines. “Easter Sunday is filled with hope in Chicago—a place where it is very easily lost,” he said. “Despite the fact that these areas, which are home to the churches, are forgotten about by local government, the people show an awesome optimism and strength.
