“We did a lap around Australia in our good ol’ Troopy. We spent 1.5 years on the road and loved the freedom of being able to go anywhere and everywhere. We started in the Gold Coast, stopped for photos with every welcome sign we passed and still made it to Tassie for Christmas with the family. It was a great way to see Australia and experience a different lifestyle. Our bed was in the back and we had an outdoor kitchen, literally. We cooked mostly by campfire and it was always a good night when we caught a fish for dinner. You don’t really need much, just the right attitude and a good, reliable car that’s in it for the long haul. It doesn’t matter what age you are, do it as soon as you can – don’t wait until you’re a grey nomad!” – Gemma.
