day three without coffee. i'm not sure there's a deep reason as to why i'm doing this, but i suppose it was to not be reliant upon it right upon waking up. i've drank coffee daily or multiple times a day (especially last fall at the bank, id drink the equivalent of 5-6 cups a day!! what the heck!!) since college and just wanted to see if i was addicted or if i'd go through withdrawal. i've done breaks before though, but after having some type of flu or constant vomiting for a few days last week, i survived without it and thought let's just keep goin!
so the results are: no headaches. not much irritability. a bit sleepier and sleeping better at night. stomach is feeling better. less stomach acid reflux when i'm starving etc.
one of my goals this summer are a couple solo backpacking/biking overnight trips. i want to travel as simply and lightly as possible - not being addicted to things helps.
