I'm not happy right now. I just got an email from the lawyer of a property management company in the Midwest. One of my supporters had sent me a note telling that this company required a $300 deposit, a $20 a month cat rental fee, and also required that all the cats that lived in their apartments have to have their toes and claws amputated (declawed) So I did what I usually do, and respectfully reached out to them last month in one email. I told them about how declawing is inhumane and harmful to cat. I told them how successful I was in educating other big property management companies about declawing and when they learned about the horrific truth, these companies took out the declaw requirement from their pet policies. I simply tried to inspire this big company to do the right thing and stop requiring this mutilating procedure. Their lawyer wrote me back and said the property management company, "referred to my attention your email demanding that my client changed it's a rental policy regarding pets " Wrong. I never "demanded" anything! ?? I also reached out in about 7 respectful phone calls over the last 1 1/2 months but no one seemed to know the exact person who is in charge of the pet policy, and the ones that I left messages with never called me back.?? Now the lawyer said that his client will not change their policy. He gave me a cease and desist email. He said that I am harassing his client and it is against the law and that he will contact the local law enforcement and file complaints with the FCC for my one email. #wtf #playingthevictim Not only is this company requiring mutilation and cruelty to cats, they are cowards, liars, and despicable human beings. I've sent a note this lawyer since he said I could discuss the matter with him. Let's see what he says. #staytuned #pawsneedclaws
