Val Bavona is crazy. Endless boulders, amazing rock; everything looks easy, but somehow is impossible. Its difficult to not get confused in the jumble, lost in the void; massive talus fields infused with forests reveal Machu Pichu-like walls and domiciles intertwining the nearly architected chaos of mega-blocs, each one with its own story, all with a cataclysmic past. One of the first lines I saw in this valley back in 2005 when we began exploring here is now known as The Shelter [8b+], first ascended by @イェルネイ・クルーダー. At the time it was one of thousands of the just-imagined; currently it stands proud, one of the few-ascended. Amidst the cold snap last week, graced by light flurries, I snuck in a satisfying ascent. SYKED ??!!! One less problem to do amidst this infinite boulderscape!!!!!
