Mikura Island is only 8 hours ferry ride from Takeshiba Sanbashi Port in Tokyo, Japan.
You cannot purchase round tickets unless you already have a place to stay on the island. Camping is prohibited as Mikura Island is a national park.
There are about 10 minshuku (B&B or small inn) to stay on the island.
There are about 120 dolphins living around the Mikura Island. There are many strict rules to protect dolphins and live with dolphins.
Dolphin swim season is from April to mid-October. Till June or July, water is still cold so 5mm wetsuit is a must. Water is very rough as there is no reef to protect.
A small fishing boat, a pax of 8 go out for a dolphin swim twice a day.

Please remember, don't touch the dolphins and no long selfie stick is allowed. No flush light nor dive computer watch making a beeping sound. .
