Here is what he wrote about the bill to ban declawing in NJ. ・・・ I’ve had a passionate love of animals for decades. For over fifty years I’ve had many cats and at times dogs in my home. I mention this because the State of NJ is seeking to introduce a law that would ban the de-clawing of cats, considering it a “criminal animal cruelty offense”? All of my cats, once they join my home have had their front claws removed with no mental or physical ramifications. This is a quote by Democratic Assemblyman Troy Singleton “de-clawing may be a quick answer, but it’s not the humane one”. Any layman knows that the de-clawing procedure with the current veterinary medical technology is virtually painless. To all holy representatives of the State of NJ; I give you my word the dozens of cats who have lived in my home, not one of them has ever complained of being uncomfortable because their front paws were de-clawed. Let me share with you a gigantic contradiction that none of them have addressed. They are supposedly using this rouse as protection for animals yet they allow animals to be neutered? Don’t misunderstand, I am for neutering animals to cut down the over population of the species, but talk about "humane"? If this stupid, asinine, imbecilic law should go through, I’m preparing to champion publicly in every way possible. I will implore true animal lovers not to adopt any cats in the State of NJ, rather to go out of state. Cat owners can have them de-clawed and then bring them back into their NJ homes. By the way, I do not have anything against the political, all holy leaders in the NJ State Legislature. I simply wish that most of them had been on the Titanic.
