For this installment in #TigersFanFridays, meet Bud Brown from North Carolina. Bud was recently deployed in Afghanistan and shortly after returning home in April, made plans to attend Wednesday’s game vs. the Indians.

Bud and his wife Nikki are originally from Roseville, MI. Nearly every year, when he returns to the States, he makes a point to see the Tigers play in person. And when he isn’t up in Michigan, Bud never misses a game on TV.

Last year, Bud was able to attend Major League Baseball’s game at Fort Bragg, the first professional sport to play at an active military base. Bud was a flag holder in the outfield for pregame ceremonies, something his wife described as a “dream come true.” In 2016, he followed Miguel Cabrera at last year’s All Star Game in San Diego. This year, he took a trip to Lakeland, FL to see a Spring Training game, along with his wife and two daughters, Cassidy and Caleigh.
