Photo by @Tim Laman. Endemic Blue Coral growing on submarine rock outcrops in Coiba National Park. This unique coral species was first discovered here at this location, and is only known from small areas near islands of Coiba National Park and some nearby sites in the Gulf of Chiriqui. It was first scientifically described in 2004. Coiba National Park contains 38 islands and is one of the most biodiverse regions on the planet.
