READ ALL: Here is a true mechanical beauty in action. You will notice in the first part of the movie we have the movement and it’s focused on 3 gear wheels. The one on the left and right as well as a small gear that connects the two in the middle which is fixed in a way to allow the movement up and down. You will notice the wheel on the left is moving in about 5 increments a second moving the middle gear up to grab on the next gear of the the far right gear which will then slide back down and jump the central seconds hand 1 spot.

So you can easily count the 5 increments on the left and the one second movement on the right. You might have to watch it a few times to see it in action but it’s really interesting to watch. You can see how the seconds hand jumps on the second part of the video when you can see it on the dial. Video by buddy @thegrailwatch
