Our wine specialist Charles Foley @c.t.foley says that 'if Domaine de la Romanèe-Conti is the King of the Côte de Nuits, Domaine Leroy is the undoubted Queen. Ruled over by the enigmatic Lalou Bize-Leroy, the estate produces fine, filigreed bottles of Pinot-Noir from fabulous Grand Cru sites.' The Romanèe St. Vivant #vineyard was originally tended by the #monks of the L'Abbaye de Saint-Vivant before its sale in 1791 to the Marey-Monge family. Today multiple producers, foremost among them Domaine Leroy, have tiny parcels of these great #vines which they craft every year into exquisite #wines.
