When I was in 4th grade I had a Hairspray themed birthday party. Not the musical- the fully raunchy, perverse and groundbreaking cult film by Mr. John Waters. While a lot of girls left before cake (basic!) I feel I had the last laugh because watching that movie again and again made me 70% smarter and funnier than I would have been otherwise. There is no more iconoclastic genius than John Waters- artist, filmmaker, host, philanthropist, mustache model- and this week our own @kaitlyngreenidge interviews him and he encourages us all to turn on men and go hog wild.
