"I had my alarm set up for 3am but woke up at 2:57am. I then asked myself 'Should I go out and shoot or not?' I peeked outside the window and saw clear skies. Before going to bed, I checked when the #sun was going to rise, when the #moon was going to set, and when the #MilkyWay would look pretty straight vertical. I also checked the tide and surf forecast and they were both looking perfect, and I used a map to pick this spot at #Oahu's North Shore. So I said to myself 'I'm going for it!' After 30 minutes of driving, I parked my car at a safe location, got out and looked straight up towards the southeast and there it was, that magical looking band in the #sky. I then crossed the empty street and traversed the sharp coral rocks before getting to this sweet spot. Visualized my shot, did my setup, and took about 5 shots and stitched them to get this one." #MyCanonStory #Hawaii
