When I came up with the vision for this invitation design, we originally wanted to use real white bougainvillea as it's so prevalent in Sardinia where the event was taking place. However, little did we know, there are major rules and regulations around the cutting of Bougainvillea and couldn't source it anywhere! We spent hours researching and sourcing - even looked at silk substitutes - but they just didn't have the right sophistication or feeling I was going for. So alas we had to switch gears to Statice, a small white wildflower, which turned out to be the perfect solution! Truthfully, that's the beauty of the creative process.
