One month to go before the upcoming #irisvanherpen Couture show at Paris Fashion Week - a very special occasion, since we will be celebrating 10 years of Iris van Herpen Couture. The coming weeks we will show a retrospective, highlighting the most inspiring collaborations from this first decade, starting with the Tesla Coil installation at the Voltage show in Paris (2013).
Iris van Herpen: "Collaborating with the visionary experimentalist Carlos Van Camp has woven the worlds of dance, science and fashion together for me. Three million volts dazzling through the body to dance an electric web around the body, has been one of the most beautifully intense things I have seen. Carlos inspired me to not be afraid for working with seemingly impossible ‘material’."
Carlos Van Kamp: "Working with Iris to Electrify one of her creations has been a highlight in my lightning career. I have the highest respect for her and the dedication she has towards impeccability in her artistry."
